Walking the Dolce & Gabbana show is a milestone moment in any model's career, so it comes as no surprise that they would want to capture the moment – and during the Spring/Summer 2016 show at Milan Fashion Week, they did just that. Clad in the designers' latest creations, models were spotted stopping on the runway to take selfies of their striking outfits.

Celebrating all things Italy with the theme 'Italia is Love', this season saw models strutting down the catwalk clad in colourful gowns and patterned skirts while carrying embellished accessories.

The striking finale was a sea of gorgeous colourful shift dresses, with retro-style prints featuring different landmarks from Italian cities in a touching homage to the Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana's homeland.

The army of models arrived with many already prepared with their phones in their hands, laughing and stopping together to pose for selfies, beaming at the cameras as they showed off their stunning retro beauty looks consisting of dramatic winged eyeliner and pale pink lipsticks.

It's been an exciting few weeks for Stefano and Domenico as they put the final touches on their new collection. Meanwhile singer Sir Elton John revealed that he had ended his feud with the duo, following the pair's apology for their comments about children born through IVF.

"Big thanks to Stefano and Domenico for the apology over their comments about IVF children. We have always been big fans of their work," Elton wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of the fashion house's iconic logo. "Now that the slate is clean we look forward wearing their designs once again. We love Italy! #ShareTheLove."

The argument first began when Elton was angered by the designers' comments on same-sex families and the use of fertility, with the singer calling for a boycott of their clothes.
