Known as the king of the red carpet due to his popularity among the A-list crowd, Elie Saab far from disappointed as he unveiled his latest couture collection in Paris on Wednesday. The Lebanese designer presented an array of stunning gowns that were fit for princesses. The vibe was decidedly romance and fairytale, with the feminine, flowing silhouettes, full skirts, shimmering beading and sparkling sequins. Models wore tiaras fashioned into laurels over their loose, flowing locks.

The show opened with a host of neutral, pastel-hued gowns, but Elie decided to give his princesses an edge as the colour palette turned darker, with heavily embroidered gowns in black, oxblood and teal dominating the runway.

He closed the show with a gilded couture bride sporting an intricately detailed gold gown and an embroidered veil that drew gasps from the well-heeled audience.
