Cher is already one of the world's biggest superstars, and the 69-year-old is showing no signs of slowing down. The Believe singer's latest coup has seen become the new face of Marc Jacobs, starring in the designer's Autumn/Winter 2015 campaign.

In the new photo, Cher shows off her gothic side in a floor-length black pleated dress with lace cut-out detailing, paired with black leather gloves. Her glossy black locks are worn down in voluminous curves and she shows off her natural beauty wearing minimal make-up as she sits on a chair in front of a red background.

Marc himself took to Instagram to give fans a sneak peek of the new campaign image, shot by acclaimed fashion photographer David Sims.

"The amazing and beautiful CHER!" he wrote in the caption. "Photographed by David Sims for our Fall/Winter campaign.. This is just the beginning…. More to come!!"

There has been speculation as to what the rest of the campaign will bring, with some fans wondering if Cher is the only face of the collection, after a caption on the brand's Instagram described the American artist as the 'first face' of a series of images.

It comes as no surprise that the If I Could Turn Back Time artist has collaborated with Marc – the designer has been a huge fan of hers for years.

"Other boys were out fascinated by other things," he told the New York Times. "I was like, no, I'd really much rather see what Cher's wearing this week."

The 52-year-old was accompanied by Cher to the Met Gala earlier this year, and revealed that while he is used to dressing the A-list, he was particularly excited to be working with his idol.

"Very rarely am I this intimidated," he admitted. "This has been a dream of mine for a very, very long time."
