All eyes were on Beyoncé as she led a host of the music industry's biggest names to celebrate the launch of new streaming service Tidal. The brainchild of Jay Z, the site aims to be the first artist-owned platform for music and videos, with stars including Rihanna, Madonna, Kanye West all stepping out to show their support and sign on as co-owners.

Beyoncé, 33, showed off her famous curves in a black-and-white patterned playsuit by designer Laquan Smith which featured a plunging neckline and lace overlay. She completed the look with a pair of black peep-toe stilettos, and wore her long blonde locks down in tumbling waves, swept to the side for a touch of old Hollywood glamour. The Crazy in Love singer was spotted mingling with stars including Alicia Keys and Nicki Minaj, who also turned heads with their stylish ensembles as they waited backstage. Alicia went for a laidback chic vibe in slouched black cropped trousers teamed with a leather jacket and strappy stilettos, while Nicki gave fans a glimpse of her enviable figure in a black shimmering dress with lace detailing, adding a pink coat on top to keep out the winter chill.

Calvin Harris and Chris Martin were also present, however they appeared on video as they could not be at the event in New York. "So we come together before you on this day, March 30th, 2015, with one voice in unity in the hopes that today will be another one of those moments in time, a moment that will forever change the course of music history," Alicia proudly said. "For today we announce of Tidal, the first ever artist-owned, global music and entertainment platform."
