Valentino sparked a social media meltdown when they sent Zoolander characters Hansel and Derek down their Autumn/Winter 2015 runway during Paris Fashion Week. And it seems that the characters' involvement with the brand doesn't stop there – Valentino have just released a set of hilarious images of the pair. The stars of the hit film, played by Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller, took part in a photoshoot at the Eiffel Tower. They practised their best 'blue steel' poses as they larked around in front of the Parisian landmark.

The comedy duo wore Valentino as they posed with models Tilda Lindstam and Xiao Wen Ju. Owen and Ben brought their Zoolander alter egos to life on the runway at Valentino to announce that a Zoolander 2 is in the works – 14 years after the much-loved film was released. With the original movie following the rivalry between dim-witted model Derek and his nemesis Hansel as they battle to be named Male Model of the Year, there was no better place for the sequel to be announced than on the catwalk.

Dressed in character as models Derek Zoolander and Hansel, the actors were met by rapturous applause from the style set, with many standing up to capture the hilarious moment on camera. Even Anna Wintour wasn't immune to Ben and Owen's comedic charm and posed for a picture with them both backstage. Other attendees at the show included Olivia Palermo with her husband Johannes Huebl, Cara Delevingne and Miraslava Duma. Fans of the film have been eagerly anticipating a sequel for years. In December Owen Wilson hinted that there could be a follow-up coming soon, telling Ellen DeGeneres: "Well, I don't mean to be coy, but I know that there's a script and Ben is considering it. So we'll see. We have to do it." It was previously reported that Penelope Cruz had signed on to star in the film, joining original cast members Ben, Owen and Will Ferrell. The upcoming film is believed to have been written by Jennifer Aniston's fiancé Justin Theroux, and is expected to follow Derek Zoolander as he is forced to reinvent himself in the world of male modelling.
