David Beckham saw jaws drop earlier this year in his latest campaign for H&M, where he showed off his toned figure in pieces from the edit he created of the high street giant's Modern Essentials collection. Now, the footballing legend has once again turned heads in the accompanying video which sees him look effortlessly suave in a dramatic game of pool.

All eyes are on the 39-year-old in the video as he makes quite the entrance looking handsome in a black jacket and trousers, before later revealing a grey jumper underneath. While he stays serious and focused throughout the intense match, behind-the-scenes pictures have revealed that off-screen he showcased his playful side, smiling and laughing with the campaign video's director Marc Foster, best known for directing Quantum of Solace, as well as giving the camera his world-famous smoulder during shooting.

David wowed in the campaign images for his Modern Essentials edit, revealed earlier this year

David has enjoyed a long relationship with H&M, collaborating with the brand on a hugely successful bodywear range, so his latest project, creating an edit of his favourite menswear pieces from the Modern Essentials collection, sees the partnership taken a step further. "I am thrilled to continue and extend my collaboration with H&M by selecting my favourite pieces from this Spring's Modern Essentials collection," said David in a statement. "Each piece is a new wardrobe classic that will update every man's spring wardrobe with great style. Marc Foster is one of my favourite directors – I can't wait to reveal the new campaign with H&M." The admiration is mutual, with Marc revealing that he had enjoyed working with the handsome star for both the shoot and video. "Most of us are familiar with David's innate sense of style and design, however, it was his acute eye for cinematic storytelling that struck me during the filming of this campaign," he admitted.

The new edit, as well as David's latest Bodywear collection, will be available at H&M from March 5.
