Amal Clooney reveals which designer she wears in court

Amal Clooney may have been catapulted into the spotlight ever since she married Hollywood actor George Clooney last year, but the 36-year-old has proven that she is not letting fame interfere with her career as a human rights lawyer.Working on a case in the European Court of Human Rights on Wednesday, Amal was asked by a journalist which designers she was wearing for the appearance. "I'm wearing Ede and Ravenscroft!" she joked, pointing to her legal robes and referring to the company that created them.

Amal initially sparked speculation surrounding her work wardrobe after she was spotted arriving at LAX airport on Sunday in a vibrant red Versace coat with leather sleeves. Fashionistas were quick to begin wondering what she would wear throughout the next few days as she appeared in court, however it is clear that Amal is keen to keep the focus on her work.

Amal is keen not to let her fashionable wardrobe interfere with her day job. She is reportedly in talks with Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour to cover the fashion bible, however is said to be hesitant to feature because of the nature of her work. The high-flying lawyer has had fashionistas watching her every style move since her Venetian wedding to George last September. The British-Lebanese beauty wore a breathtaking custom-made Oscar de la Renta gown embroidered with pearls as she tied the knot with George, featuring off-the-shoulder sleeves and a gorgeous lace overlay.

It wasn't just her wedding gown which turned heads, however, as she showed off her style credentials in a series of chic outfits throughout the weekend from designers including Dolce & Gabbana to Alexander McQueen. Since then, Amal has continued to have fashionistas around the world coveting her chic outfits, and made her dazzling awards season red carpet debut earlier this year at the Golden Globes, where she stole the show in a black Dior Couture dress and white gloves.
