The 22-year-old will be following in the footsteps of Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Penelope Cruz and Scarlett Johansson, who have all modelled for the cosmetics giant.

"It's a dream," Karlie told style.com. "I've had the privilege of working for the past seven years, and if I'm totally honest, towards this." "On my list I had a number of things," she continued, describing her life goals. "I can't tell you because they're so embarrassing – I think I said marry somebody ridiculous – but  I had L’Oréal, American Vogue and Victoria's Secret."

This is not the first major beauty campaign Karlie has bagged this year – in August she was revealed to be the new face of Chanel's fragrance Coco Noir, in a simple and elegant add shot by fashion photographer Sølve Sundsbø. With celebrity friends including Taylor Swift and Cara Delevingne, Karlie has established herself as one of this generation's biggest supermodels, walking for countless high fashion shows, and becoming a Victoria's Secret Angel in 2013.

For the Spring 2015 season, she has been spotted on the catwalks of designers including Marc Jacobs, where she walked alongside Kendall Jenner, and was also spotted forming the ultimate supermodel group which included Naomi Campbell, Cara Delevingne and singer Rihanna at a charity party held by Jourdan Dunn. Outside of the fashion industry, Karlie has proven that she is a force to be reckoned with, when she enrolled in a class at Harvard Business School. The stunning model became a part-time student at the Ivy League school when she took a course titled The Business of Media earlier this year.

"I feel fortunate to have an incredible career and experiences behind me," she told the Daily Front. "But there is so much more that I want to do with this career and my life."
