There's only one place for fashionistas to be right now – Paris Fashion Week – and one stylish star in particular has been making the most of her front row pass. Nicole Richie has been spotted at most of the big catwalk shows, including Valentino's on Tuesday. The petite TV star-turned-designer turned heads as she arrived for the autumn/winter 2013 runway show. Looking stunning and stylish, Nicole wore an elegant black coat that had structured ruffles at the neck, cuffs and hem, under which could be seen flurries of a bright-red tiered dress.

Nicole, 31, tied hair into plaits that wrapped around her head and carried a small clutch bag with a studded handle. Her nails were painted red to match her vibrant dress. Mum-of-two Nicole had already attended two high-profile Paris Fashion Week shows. At Stella McCartney – to which she wore a black-and-white vertically striped dress – she was pictured laughing alongside actress Jessica Alba, while at Givenchy – where monochrome again ruled the day, but this time in a wavy black-and-white neckline – she had the chance to catch up with fellow reality TV star Kim Kardashian. It won't have been all play and no work, however. Now a fully fledged designer, Nicole is in Paris to keep her eye on the trends.

The Fashion Star judge, whose style sense has established her as one of Hollywood's best-dressed stars, has two fashion lines, House of Harlow 1960 and Winter Kate.Recently, she announced that Steven Spielberg's daughter Sasha – an actress and musician – will star in the campaigns for both lines after seeing her perform in the band Brother/Sister, which she founded with her brother Theo. "When I first met Sasha, I knew immediately she would be perfect for the video," Nicole said. "Something about the way she carries herself. Sasha truly embodies the Winter Kate and House of Harlow 1960 girl. Someone who is confident and fun, yet still a bit reserved and elegant."
