Bruce Jenner has the full support of his former wife Kris Jenner throughout his gender transition. In a short clip from Keeping Up With The Kardashians: About Bruce, the 65-year-old said the "love and acceptance" Kris has shown him left him feeling "overwhelmed".

In the teaser for the reality TV special – which will air on 17 and 18 May – the couple reflect on their marriage, with Kris reminiscing: "We had so much in common that is was kind of a match made in heaven. We went to races. We played golf. We went snow skiing. I mean there wasn't anything we didn't do."

Bruce admits that he "loves" those memories too, adding that he and Kris still have an incredible relationship following their split.

Bruce Jenner said he was "overwhelmed" by support from Kris Jenner

"You know, Kris is a really good woman and I love her to death," Bruce reveals. "And the love and acceptance I have gotten from Kris is absolutely overwhelming."

While Kris took a while to address her ex-husband's gender transition, she voiced her support to the former Olympian during a red carpet appearance at Kelly Rutherford's Children's Justice Campaign event on Tuesday.

"The family's doing great, and Bruce is doing great. And everybody's super supportive," the 59-year-old told US Weekly.

After much speculation, Bruce confirmed his gender transition in an in-depth interview with Diane Sawyer in April. The former Olympian will document his journey in a reality series in the summer, following on from his two-part Keeping Up With The Kardashians special.

Previous promotional clips from the show see Bruce's daughter Kendall Jenner getting emotional about her dad's transition, saying: "He's the most amazing person I know. I couldn't ask for a better dad. He taught me how to ride a bike and be the tomboy that I am."

Meanwhile 17-year-old Kylie Jenner says that she wants to meet his female side: "I do wanna meet her, when he's ready," she says. "When we're both ready."
