Beatriz Colon

New York Writer

I have been working with HELLO! Magazine since January of 2022, and have since then contributed to its growing reach in the US through our coverage in entertainment, pop culture, lifestyle content, human interest, and US news of note.

I have a steadfast dedication to the oft-mercurial news cycle of our times, and be it Hollywood or Washington D.C., I pride myself in always having my finger on the pulse, as well as a keen awareness of the ever-changing zeitgeist. I thrive when there's an important story to write or a conversation to spark, and in my time with HELLO! I have honed my skills for fast-paced news

content and my instinct to cover breaking news – from pregnancy announcements to deaths and everything in between – and have moreover worked through major events, both digitally and on the ground.

Those include the Oscars, Grammys, and Golden Globes, the Tribeca Film Festival, presidential indictments and trials, the Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit with Prince William, the Super Bowl, and the Met Gala, as well as many local red carpets, during which I have interviewed the likes of Elizabeth Hurley, Emily Blunt, Robert De Niro, Kyra Sedgwick, Kevin Bacon, and E.J.

Carroll, among others.

I was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, but have been based in New York City for close to ten years. Shortly before joining HELLO!, I earned a Masters degree in journalism through New York University's Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute and their Magazine & Digital Storytelling program, and during that time I interned for Cultured Magazine. Prior to that, I worked as an Assistant Stylist for Moda Operandi, helping oversee two stylists' businesses of over 400 VIP clients combined, and before that, I graduated from Sarah Lawrence College – where I studied Art History, French, and writing, among other subjects – with a Liberal Arts degree.
